A Month with April-May

ebook

Move over Georgia Nicolson, April-May has just enrolled

Life is not a bowl of cherries. Suck it up.'

April-May loves boys with green eyes, reading at the back of class and wearing non-regulation socks. April-May hates stuck up rich kids and two-minute noodles. Life at her new school would have been fine if Mrs Ho, the English teacher hadn't decided that April May was a no-good, trouble-maker, bursary-kid. April-May decides that Mrs Ho has to go. Then April-May meets the drop-dead gorgeous Sebastian, befriends the total suck up mouth-breather Melly and things get a little more complicated.

A MONTH WITH APRIL-MAY is a one-eyebrow-raised account of a teenager's trials and tribulations as she navigates a new school, a new family situation and a whole new way of life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOREdyth Bulbring was born in Boksburg, South Africa and grew up in Port Elizabeth. She attended the University of Cape Town where she completed a BA whilst editing the University newspaper Varsity. Having worked as a journalist for fifteen years, including time spent as the political correspondent at the Sunday Times of South Africa covering the first ever democratic elections, Edyth moved into writing full time. Edyth has published six books in South Africa and is looking forward to seeing her books on UK shelves.

REVIEWSMove over Jacqueline Wilson - Edyth Bulbring is the new queen of fiction.', Amanda Lorentz, The Weekender (Review for TOFFEE AND GRUMMER)

'I devoured the book in one sitting, but it passed the acid test when my teenage daughter was compelled by the sheer excellence of the writing to keep reading.', Aubrey Paton, The Times South Africa

'Devoured in an evening and highly recommended.', Leigh Andrews, Media Update (Review for 100 DAYS OF APRIL-MAY)

'Edyth Bulbring has proved wildly popular, so much so that her books are part of the syllabus for Grades 8 and 9 at a few schools.', Nina Beknik, The Times South Africa (Review for 100 DAYS OF APRIL-MAY)

'One Word: WOW! I absolutely loved this book

I really enjoyed this book and I think you would be quite silly to miss out on such a good read!', Kyra, Blog of a Bookaholic (Review for 100 DAYS OF APRIL-MAY)

'The hectic pace of the dramas and April-May's own largely benign view of them make this is a fresh and entertaining novel which reveals that teen trouble is the same the whole world over.', Julia Eccleshare, Lovereading4kids
