J4 COMMERCIAL VAN AT 66 • With marketing such as ‘the more for less van’ it was easy to identify the target market that BMC had in mind for their J4 commercial van when it was launched at the 1960 Commercial Motor Show. Cheap, cheerful, efficient and with few, if any, of the competitors bells and whistles. What the J4 was, was essentially a practical van at an affordable price.
